We are delighted to be joined by The Songsters of Gloucester Salvation Army for our first coffee concert of 2025, on Saturday March 8th at 11.30am, in St Mary de Crypt.
The Songsters of Gloucester Salvation Army is a choir of mixed voices that was formed in 1902 and since then it has participated in SA meetings (services) every Sunday as well as concerts.
Now under the leadership of Cliff Matthews they continue to sing a mixed repertoire from a capella to gospel as will be demonstrated in this concert.
Cliff writes:
‘There is always an underlying commitment to our faith and there will be a brief section on music for Easter.’
Admission as always is free, with donations invited to the venue (St Mary de Crypt) and the Salvation Army.
Coffee, tea and cake are available in the school room before the concert.
